These bamboo beads are varying shades of brown with interesting patterns. The wide face of each bead has spots, while the edges of the beads have stripes. Close examination of the little dots will show that each dot is actually four smaller dots, like a clover or an animal footprint.
On each bead, these spots are denser on one edge and less dense on opposing edge. This is one of those times when a picture really is worth a thousand words.
The bead is has a single hole which is drilled lenghtwise through the bead. The hole is about 2mm.
Each bead is oval with a slight tapering at each end and measures 3/4" long x 3/16" wide at the ends (5/16" wide at the widest) x 3/16" thick.
Below are two photos. Each is actually two pictures, with the top with a flash and other without the flash.
